I decided on Duratrac 285/75r18 on the stock wheels. I didn't want a lift, or something to wide, but really wanted a good size sidewall. This tire is 34.8 tall with a 8.4 sidewall but only 11.2 wide. really fills the well, but doesn't hang out at all. You may find that switching to tires of that size will also require re-gearing your final drive. It depends on what your current gearing is. His was geared with a 3.42 rear end. Mine is also a 3.42 for the stock 32 inch 265/70R20 tires.I still have stock 18’s with duratracs ... I do have a buddy who is running 295/70/18 on stock 18’s on his trail boss with not scrubbing (no level)...I’ll post a pic of mine though on stock wheels. So I think a 285/75/18 (35/11.00) should fit without hitting the upper control arms. In stock form, the TrailBoss comes wrapped in 32×10 tires which is, in many owners’ opinions, not the best size for this big truck. I have 295/70r18 Cooper AT3 XLT and I only rub the felt liner when the wheel is turned in a certain spot while backing up. A 1/2" level (which would cost a lot more then the next option, because you will need UCA's) or a slight trim to the mud flaps and tying the liner back will remedy it..
